We are looking to appoint an Early Years Practitioner to work in our growing nursery, particularly working in our new Under 2’s room. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Early Years Phase Leader. Applicants need to have a good knowledge of the early years and be committed to supporting our children to reach their full potential. A level 3 qualification in the Early Years would be advantageous, but not essential. They will be passionate, hard-working, versatile and enjoy working as part of a team.
This role will be until August 2026 initially, with the potential to extend the contract for the right candidate This is an excellent opportunity for someone to become part of King’s Oak Primary’s exciting journey.

We are a large primary school of approximately 900 pupils currently on roll. Specialist Provision Teaching Assistant

3A Point 5 - 7 - Actual salary Point 5 £18129.93 – Point 7 £18740.21

32.5hours per week, term time only plus 5 training days – September 2024 Start

We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to support pupils in one of our two specialist provisions. They will work in our Step to Learning (A2L) provision supporting pupils with mainly SEMH needs.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the provision class teachers and members of the SLT, supporting a small group of pupils with complex needs. They will be part of a team of teaching assistants within the setting, maintaining a high adult to pupil ratio. They will support some of the school’s most vulnerable pupils in a specialised curriculum designed to develop self confidence, effective communication and self regulation, while also focusing on closing key gaps in learning. Candidates will be highly motivated and passionate about supporting children. Applicants need to be confident, caring, resilient to challenge and committed to supporting our children to reach their full potential. They will be passionate, hard-working, versatile and enjoy working as part of a team.

This role will be on a fixed term basis, ending in August 2026 initially with the potential to extend the contract permanently for the right candidate after this point.

Learning Mentor

Level 3D Point 7 - 11

35 hours per week term time only plus 5 training days

We are looking to appoint a Learning Mentor to support pupils across our large and successful school. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Assistant Headteacher and Operational Safeguarding Lead as part of a supportive team of Learning Mentor colleagues. They will support pupils to overcome barriers to learning. They will be committed to supporting some of the most vulnerable pupils, including those with complex social, emotional or mental health needs. Candidates will be willing to become one of several Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) across the school and full training and support will be provided for this. Experience of being a DSL in the past would be an advantage but not essential.

Candidates will be highly motivated and passionate about supporting children who may be struggling to develop the skills they need to thrive in mainstream education.
