Vacancy for Learning Mentor

Level 3 Point 7-11

We are looking to appoint a Learning Mentor to support pupils across our large and successful school. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Assistant Headteacher and Operational Safeguarding Lead as part of a supportive team of Learning Mentor colleagues. They will support pupils to overcome barriers to learning. They will be committed to supporting some of the most vulnerable pupils, including those with complex social, emotional or mental health needs. Candidates will be willing to become one of several Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) across the school and full training and support will be provided for this. Experience of being a DSL in the past would be an advantage but not essential.

Candidates will be highly motivated and passionate about supporting children who may be struggling to develop the skills they need to thrive in mainstream education.  Applicants need to be confident, caring, resilient to challenge and committed to supporting our children to reach their full potential. They will be passionate, hard-working, versatile and enjoy working as part of a team. 

This role is offered on a permanent basis and is an excellent opportunity for someone to become part of King’s Oak Primary’s exciting journey. Vacancy for an Early Years Practitioner

Level 3 Point 5-7

We are looking to appoint an Early Years Practitioner to work in our growing nursery. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Early Years Phase Leader.  Applicants need to have a good knowledge of the early years and be committed to supporting our children to reach their full potential. A level 3 qualification in the Early Years would be advantageous, but not essential.  They will be passionate, hard-working, versatile and enjoy working as part of a team. 

This role will be until August 2024 initially, with the potential to extend the contract for the right candidate

Vacancy for a Specialist Provision Teaching Assistant

Level 3 Point 5-7


We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to support pupils in our two specialist provisions. They will work either in our Access to Learning (A2L) provision supporting pupils with mainly SEHM needs, or in our Step to Learning (S2L) provision supporting pupils with mainly ASD needs.  The successful candidate will work under the direction of the provision class teacher and members of the SLT, supporting a small group of pupils with complex needs. They will be part of a team of teaching assistants within the setting, maintaining a high adult to pupil ratio. They will support some of the school’s most vulnerable pupils in a specialised curriculum designed to develop self confidence, effective communication and self regulation, while also focusing on closing key gaps in learning. Candidates will be highly motivated and passionate about supporting children who may be struggling to develop the skills they need to return to and thrive in mainstream education. Applicants need to be confident, caring, resilient to challenge and committed to supporting our children to reach their full potential. They will be passionate, hard-working, versatile and enjoy working as part of a team.

Wraparound Care Assistant

Level 2A Starting Salary £12149 pa

Hours:  7.30am to 9.00am, then 3.00pm till 6.00pm

We run a popular and successful wraparound care service for our parents and are looking for a dedicated individual to support our children.
You will need to demonstrate high levels of motivation and be able to engage, lead and inspire children.

These posts could be split into Breakfast Club or After School Club only Kings Oak Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the
