Ofsted

Dear Parents and Carers

I am delighted to be able to share the final report from our recent Ofsted inspection. The inspection recognises so much of the hard work the staff do every day to make a real difference for the children and families here.

Inspectors recognised the warmth and inclusivity of our community, the way we welcome and settle children from many different backgrounds, and how staff know pupils extremely well. The report praises the carefully crafted curriculum that prioritises reading, writing and mathematics (and vocabulary development), our strong routines and calm learning environment, the quality of provision in early years, and the wide range of clubs and leadership opportunities we offer pupils. It also notes our improving attendance and the positive impact of the support we provide to families.

This outcome is the result of sustained, collective effort. The whole of the staff and governor teams at the school contributed to the strengths highlighted by inspectors.

The report also gives us a clear, helpful steer on what to do next. Inspectors ask us to continue driving achievement across all subjects and to reduce persistent absence. These priorities sit closely with our current improvement plan and values and we will include these in the priorities moving forwards.

I know you will join me in thanking the staff and governors for their ongoing work. This report reflects the professionalism, care and ambition they show to the pupils every day.

Finally, I would like to thank all parents and carers for your continued support of the work of the school. Our partnership with you is a very important element of the success recognised by inspectors.

Many thanks and best wishes
