Remote Learning
Welcome to our Remote Learning page. This is where you will be able to find useful links, gain technical assistance and receive any updates which will support you to access the learning at home smoothly. For our remote learning, we are using Google Classrooms for Year 1 to Year 6 and Class Dojo for Reception and Nursery. Class Dojo will still be used across the school for messaging as it has been previously. As all schools, we are developing what we offer to those at home so please do check here regularly for any updates if children are learning from home.
In the event of school or bubble closure each class will have a weekly timetable that will be uploaded to Google Classrooms or Class Dojo so that parents and children are clear on the learning for the week.
What we offer for remote learning will slightly differ depending on if whole classes have to isolate or if this is just for individual children. This page focuses on the process for if bubbles have to close, although much of the information is relevant to both. If individual children have to isolate they will be given a paper pack of resources to supplement the live lessons or recordings.
Live Lessons
We are really excited that we are offering the morning sessions in every year group as live lessons as well as additional pre-recorded lessons in the afternoon. The recordings of these will be uploaded to Google Classrooms after the session so that anybody who could not join for whatever reason is still able to access the learning.
Before children can join the live lessons, you will need to agree to follow our Remote Learning Agreement. This is really important and children will be asked to leave a lesson if they have not agreed to this.
We set very clear rules with the children on how they should behave within a live lesson and we have high expectations that they maintain these. Here is a document showing the guidance we share with them.

Please note that if you have questions about the content of the lessons, this should be communicated with your child’s class teacher using Class Dojo. We know that learning at home can be difficult for some children and adults and have created some 'top tips’ for parents / students to support everyone.
