We have an excellent space for cooking at King’s Oak which is based on the KS2 side of the school. This is used by children from all year groups as part of their Design and Technology curriculum. As well as this, the space is used for clubs and group sessions to develop enjoyment and skills.
We are so lucky to have this space available to hold many of our Science lessons in!
A superb space to enhance and develop the children’s creativity. This room hosts a whole range of resources, even including a kiln!
Alongside our laptop trolleys, our ipads and our internet cafe, we have a specialised computer suite for the children to learn and develop these crucial skills.
You will find this space situated in the centre of the KS2 building. This is utilised in a variety of ways, including as part of lunch club.
We love growing things at King's Oak and our learning mentor team have worked with children to develop our allotments areas. Alongside this, KS1 have also been growing as part of their Science curriculum.
Our Libraries and Reading
We have two libraries at King's Oak: One is in the KS1 building and one in the KS2 building. We also challenge our children to 'Get Caught Reading' in a range of interesting places. We firmly believe that teaching a child to read is one of the greatest gifts we can give as a school and do all we can to engage children in this skill.
Our Outdoor Learning Spaces
We have a variety of spaces outside for the children to enjoy during PE, breaks and lunches.
