Message from the Chair of Governors, Paul Davies.
The governors of King’s Oak Primary School are very proud of what has been achieved since the opening of the school in September 2014. We are now the largest primary school in Bedford and among the largest in England. While being a very large primary school can bring challenges, it also enables us to become even more ambitious in providing facilities, resources and wider curriculum opportunities for our children.
The governors have high aspirations and expectations which we share with the Headteacher, Mrs Ali England, and all the staff of the school.
Our vision is based upon a very strong belief in inclusion and we welcome and celebrate the rich variety of backgrounds, cultures and faiths found within our school community.
We have a strong focus on continuous school improvement. Each year we agree school priorities with the staff of the school and monitor progress through our committees, ‘lead governors’ and undertaking ‘learning walks’.
The governors will continue to work in partnership with the head teacher, senior leadership, staff, parents and carers, the local and wider community, to provide the very best education for all our children.
